The Dad Bard

My name is Matt Nelson, screen name awildchicken77. I have been DMing 5e D&D since Nov 2017. Most of my D&D experience has been through roll20, and after a while of doing that I decided to start streaming as well. Since then, I have ran various home games as well. I think my dream would be able to run a weekly home game and then play online on occasion. Something about playing in person makes the game so much better! But maybe that is a topic for another time...

Besides being a DM, I am a husband, father, dog owner and soon to be exercise science graduate and physical therapist student. I love everything in my life, from family, to school, to playing games.

This blog is going to focus different facets of Dungeons and Dragons. I want to use this space to share my experiences playing, as well as different projects I am working on. My confidence as a DM has come from Matthew Colville's Running the Game series on YouTube so I plan on doing some posts about his different videos.
